Clemson fan puts cherry on top of wild week

Fox Carolina

This has been a pretty incredible week in terms of the news.

There was the end of Proposition 8, Paula Deen’s buttery meltdown, the Trayvon Martin trial and of course the removal of Aaron Hernandez’s arms when he was arrested and charged with murder, only to then be linked to an additional double homicide later in the week.

That’s not to mention Oregon being put on a pretty weak probation and Chip Kelly getting an 18-month show-cause that I’m sure he’s terribly broken up about now that he’s the Philadelphia Eagles’ head coach.

Micah Rogers is the Clemson fan who allegedly vandalized Howard’s Rock.

Now comes the cherry on top of this crazy week.

An arrest has been made in the vandalizing of Howard’s Rock at Clemson. 18-year-old Micah Rogers of Pisgah Forest, N.C. was arrested and charged with one felony: malicious injury to animals or personal property valued at more than $2,000, but less than $10,000; and one misdemeanor, trespassing, unlawful entry into enclosed places.

North Carolina huh? Probably a Tar Heel fan then. Duke? Maybe even a South Carolina fan?

What’s that you say? He’s a CLEMSON FAN?!????

Clemson announced during a Friday press conference that Rogers had a Clemson paw on his truck and his house was filled with Tiger memorabilia, but that he had no official ties to the university (not a booster or IPTAY member).

My only guess is the kid wanted to chip off a piece for a souvenir and broke off a little more than he was hoping for.

But seriously Clemson? One of your own fans damaged Howard’s Rock. That’s not a good look.
